DSWD6 recognizes Aklan QRTs for ASEAN Summit augmentation
Boracay Island- The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI) recognized the Aklan Quick Response Teams (QRTs) following the conclusion of the ASEAN Senior Level Committee on Financial Integration (SLC) Task Force on Sustainable Finance Meeting in Boracay, Aklan.
During the recognition ceremony, Assistant Regional Director for Operations Katherine Joy M. Lamprea distributed certificates of recognition to the Aklan QRTs as a gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service.
A debriefing session was also conducted to assess the activities carried out by the QRT members, who operated under Red Alert status and were strategically stationed at designated billeting hotels and the official meeting venue to ensure the immediate provision of assistance to delegates when necessary.
Staff from the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), who were stationed at the Regional Emergency Operations Center to monitor and provide operational support, were also honored for their vital role.
In addition, the billeting hotels were awarded and recognized as valued partners for their cooperation and support during the summit, contributing to the smooth coordination and overall success of the activity.
DSWD6 underscored that the deployment of QRTs formed part of its preparedness measures to support the smooth conduct of high-level engagements hosted in the region./jam
