Seven Young Akeanons Named Provincial Winners in DA-Western Visayas Young Farmers Challenge Season Six

​KALIBO, AKLAN — Seven innovative youth entrerprises from the province of Aklan were officially recognized as provincial winners in the Department of Agriculture (DA) Western Visayas’ Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Season 6.

They were:

​A total of 38 young farmers and agri-entrepreneurs across Region 6 were honored during the event. Each provincial winner received an ₱80,000 financial grant from the DA to serve as capital for implementing, expanding, and developing their respective agri-business initiatives.
​Breakdown of Winners in Western Visayas:
​Aklan: 7 winners
​Antique: 7 winners
​Capiz: 7 winners
​Guimaras: 3 winners
​Iloilo: 14 winners

​The journey does not end at the provincial level. All provincial winners advance to the Regional Level, where they have the chance to secure an additional ₱150,000 grant. Those who qualify for the National Level can earn a further ₱300,000 grant to expand their agricultural ventures.
