Aklanons Celebrate Boracay’s Kathleen Monjardin as Miss Teen Tourism in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka – Jubilation swept across Boracay and the entire province of Aklan as residents celebrated the crowning of Maria Kathleen Monjardin as the new Miss Teen Tourism during the prestigious international pageant held in Avenra Gardens Hotel in Sri Lanka. Her victory has become a source of immense pride not only for Boracay but for the entire Philippines.

As news of Monjardin’s triumph reached home, congratulatory messages poured in from local government officials, tourism stakeholders, pageant enthusiasts, and thousands of Aklanons on social media. Many described her victory as another milestone that showcases the beauty, grace, intelligence, and hospitality for which Boracay is known worldwide.

Monjardin has carried with her a group of Aklanon supporters. Monjardin thanked Ovette Ricalde, the founder and chairman of Miss Teen Tourism.

The international pageant gathered delegates from several countries, promoting cultural exchange and tourism while highlighting the importance of youth leadership and global friendship. Sri Lanka served as the host country for the 2026 edition of the Miss and Miss Teen Tourism competition.
