DSWD6 leads social pension payout to 2, 542 senior citizens in Altavas

ALTAVAS, Aklan– The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD6) is leading the 2 day distribution of social pensions to 2,542 senior citizens across 14 barangays in Altavas, Aklan.

Each beneficiary received ₱3,000, covering this third quarter of the year. The payout activity is facilitated by the Altavas LGU represented by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Harriette Gildy, Therese T. Yatar and Municipal Treasurer’s Office led by April Ann P. Refol in coordination of Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA).

The Social Pension (SocPen) Program helps qualified elderly individuals aged 60 and older who are frail, sickly, or disabled, and who do not receive other pensions, to meet their basic needs for food, medicine, and essential expenses.

The payout was monitored by Project Development Officer I (PDOI) Edmond C. Montoya and dedicated Social Welfare Assistant (SWA) Rosalyn T. Laurente to ensure the orderly and efficient distribution of financial assistance to the target beneficiaries./jes
