Bread & Butter Highlights Aklan Entrepreneurship at WV BIZCONEX on Wheels .

In celebration of the 2026 National MSME Month, the Western Visayas Business Conference and Expo (WV BIZCONEX) on Wheels brought together entrepreneurs, government agencies, financial institutions, and business support organizations to strengthen the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the region.

The event was organized by the Regional Development Council VI (RDC VI) through its Economic Development Committee (EDC), with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region VI as the lead implementing partner, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Aklan under the leadership of Governor Jose Enrique “Joen” Miraflores, together with various national and provincial government agencies committed to promoting inclusive economic development.

Among the participating exhibitors was Bread & Butter Bakeshop, which also supported the event by providing snacks for DTI and delegates while showcasing its journey as one of the country’s multi-awarded homegrown franchise brands.

From its humble beginnings in Kalibo over four decades ago, Bread & Butter has grown into the pioneering bakery franchise from Aklan, expanding throughout Western Visayas and nearby island provinces. Today, it continues to demonstrate how local enterprises can compete and succeed through innovation, quality products, and strong community partnerships.
