Celebration with Caution

Senior Santo Niño Bendisyuni kami!
Ati-Atihan Festival na naman here sa Aklan!
A time to celebrate, praise baby Jesus.
A moment to reminisce about the day our native ancestors’ introduction to Roman Catholicism.

In comparison with the previous years of celebrating this fiesta,
Masasabi at makikita talaga na iba nga ito.
Health restrictions and regulations were made to be followed.
No exceptions.

Mass gatherings are not encourage to be held if not necessary.
Social distancing must be observed always ng bawat isa.
May mga provided health standards na dapat maabot ng isang pagtitipon or area.

Wala na ang mga nakasanayang nights of partying  and kabi-kabilaang events that gathers people.
And we must agree, it is for the best.
Sapagkat kung ipipilit natin ang nakasanayan bago ang pandemya.
It would be catastrophic with the numbers of people getting infected on the rise.

We could be grateful devotees naman that gives gratitude and celebrates this meaningful celebration.
Not forgetting that we must be responsible with our behavior.
Not just doing things for the sake of our own “enjoyment” but with everyone’s safety and welfare in our minds.
Viva kay Senior Santo Niño! Viva! Viva! Viva!
