Kalibo produces a new PMA’er

KALIBO, Aklan- The Kaindoy family at Barangay Andagaw, Kalibo, Aklan is among the proudest parents now in this Ati-atihan town.

This is after their son recently graduated from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Baguio City with flying colors.

In an interview, Lorilie Delgado Kaindoy said that her son is now Second Lieutenant Astrid Kaindoy. He is currently in Kalibo.

“We do not have any military blood in our family as far as I know. His interest in joining the military grew because somebody inspired him to do so,” said the mother.

The young Kaindoy dreams of joining the elite paratroopers someday. After his short vacation here in Kalibo,he will be subjected to rigid training as a scout ranger.

“He has gone through so many challenges while studying at the PMA. My advice to parents who have a child wanting to study for the PMA, just support your child. It’s hard, but if your child is determined, he will face all the challenges he will encounter,” she said.
