NBI arrests two for qualified human trafficking in Bulacan

Marilao, Bulacan- Under the leadership of Director Judge Jaime B. Santiago (Ret.), the NBI-Organized Transnational Crimes Division (NBI-OTCD) arrested two (2) female pimps in Marilao, Bulacan for sexual trafficking activities.
The case stemmed from a case referral by Destiny Rescue Philippines, Inc. (DESTINY) on the case of two female pimps who are offering female victims, including minors, sexual services for a fee ranging from Php 3,000.00 -5,000.00.
NBI-OTCD agents, together with the staff from DESTINY, conducted a surveillance and met the Subjects who brought two (2) girls and offered their sexual services in the amount of Php3,000.00 for every girl. The undercover team then asked for postponement as to not consummate the crime. Instead, the team mentioned that they would have a party at a private resort on June 04, 2025. The Subjects offered to bring more girls.
On June 04, 2025, NBI-OTCD and DESTINY hatched an entrapment operation, Subjects met with the undercover team at the agreed location at Seven Villa, Marilao, Bulacan. Subjects brought along eleven (11) other victims. Subjects reiterated their transaction to the poseur client that each girl costs Php3,000.00 that would include sexual services. Poseur client handed the marked money amounting to Php33,000.00 to one of the Subjects. Thus, the arrests of the Subjects for utilizing and offering the victims for sexual purposes and exploitation i fechange for sum of money.
Eleven (11) trafficked victims were rescued, four (4) of whom are minors. Investigation revealed that two victims are siblings, while one of the victims is the daughter of one of the Subjects. Also, both Subjects live in the same household.
Rescued victims were turned over to MSWDO. Subjects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, Malolos, Bulacan for Qualified Trafficking in Persons under Section 4 in relation to Section 6 of RA 9208, otherwise known as “Anti Trafficking in Persons Act of 2002,” as amended by RA 10364, also known as “Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022,” in relation to Sec. 6 of RA 10175, otherwise known as the “Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.”
