No.2 Aklan’s Most Wanted Person for Rape Arrested

Ibajay, Aklan – A joint police operation led by the Ibajay Municipal Police Station (MPS) resulted in the arrest of the No. 2 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level for rape at around 10:05 AM on March 31, 2026, in Brgy. Poblacion, Ibajay, Aklan.

The suspect, identified as alias “Ronald”, 30, single, and a resident of Brgy. Yawan, Ibajay, Aklan, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape under Article 266-A (1) in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended.

The warrant was issued on June 13, 2025 by the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 3, Kalibo, Aklan, with no bail recommended.

The operation was spearheaded by Ibajay MPS with the support of the Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) Trackers Team, Malinao MPS, Aklan Maritime Police Station (MARPSTA), and the 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL JOSEFINO D LIGAN, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6), commended the operating units for the successful arrest.

“This accomplishment reflects our unwavering commitment to track down and arrest individuals who attempt to evade justice, especially those accused of heinous crimes. We assure the public that PRO6 will remain relentless in its efforts to ensure that offenders are brought before the law and that our communities are kept safe,” PBGEN LIGAN said.

The arrested individual is currently in the custody of Ibajay MPS pending proper disposition before the court.
