Resto in Pasig offers an elevated dining experience

PASIG CITY- Unknown to many, a restaurant at the heart of Pasig City in Metro Manila is offering an elevated dining experience that would surely satisfy one’s appetite not just once but twice.

Kevrina Matutina, owner of the Elevate Bistro Lounge, said she decided to come up with such a name as they offer a fusion of comfort foods from different cuisines. Among them were Japanese and Filipino dishes, among others.

“Our business is all about serving good quality and beautifully plated yet familiar comfort food across different cuisines and innovative cocktail drinks as well as providing a great ambiance to all our customers. We named our business ‘Elevate’ because our goal is to elevate our customers’ overall dining experience as well as good ambiance,” she said.

Matutina said opening the bistro is not just a passion. It’s run in her blood, as her family has operated a restaurant for several years. She is also a chef, as she worked at a luxurious hotel in Boracay several years ago.

“And as chefs, we were always very busy with work, and we didn’t always get to spend time with family, but during the pandemic, the food industry was heavily affected, so when hotels and restaurants closed, we cooked more for the family. And when the pandemic eased, we would cater for their events, etc., and later on, we decided that with our combined efforts and professional backgrounds (architect, interior designer, f&b, sales and marketing, etc.), we would conceptualize a restaurant where we could share our love for our craft,” she added.

Their bistro can be found at Sapphire Bloc, Sapphire Cor Garnet Rd. Ortigas Center, Pasig City

“Next year, we would like to focus on jump-starting our operations, establishing a good reputation for our business, and hopefully expanding our menu and be able to cater to events or make special tasting menus for special occasions (valentines),” she added.
