KALIBO, Aklan—The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-Western Visayas is forging partnerships with the local Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to campaign for the upcoming deadline of their amnesty applications.
The SEC forged a partnership with the Aklan PCCI on May 30. The same commission also plans to forge a partnership with the Halaran Chamber in Capiz province anytime soon.
Jola Lyn Tingson, information officer II of the SEC-Western Visayas, said that the SEC has set the deadline for applications for amnesty for late and non-filing of annual reportorial requirements.
“Eligible companies now have until June 30 to process and finish their amnesty applications. Moreover, applicants now have 90 days, instead of 45 days, from the date of payment to submit their latest due financial statements. After the extended deadline of June 30, an updated scale of fines and penalties for the covered reportorial requirements shall be implemented,” she said during the May 30 forum held at the Ati-atihan Festival Hotel.
The SEC is expected to meet with PCCI Halaran Capiz to forge the same MOA by June 14.
Ramel Buncalan, chairman of the PCCI-Aklan Board of Directors, said that the PCCI-Aklan has forged a memorandum of agreement with the SEC for the dissemination of information about the SEC amnesty program.
