Stephen Speaks: Ilonggo foods is mesmerizing!

Iloilo City- Rockwell Ripperger, an American famous for global hit songs ‘Passenger Seats” and “Out of my League” told the Boracay Island News Network that he loves Ilonggo foods.

In an interview at the Go Superclub and Sports here, Ripperger said that among his Ilonggo food cuisines favorite includes the Shanghai Rolls, adobo, batchoy among others.

While in Iloilo, Paul Chatman, the founder of Gabria Music Production organizes his jampacked performance at the Go Superclub and Sports Center.

In 2023, UNESCO named Iloilo as one of the 50 cities of gastronomy worldwide. The city boasts of its batchoy and pancit molo which for years hias been a favorite cuisine not only for residents but also for tourists.

Aside from foods, Iloilo is also famous for its Dinagyang Festival. Ripperger has been a frequent traveller in Iloilo since 2018. He was accompanied by another American Paul Chatman, a professional jazz performer and a respected business leader in the region. “When I am in Iloilo, I feel like I am at home because this city feels like Oklahoma in the USA where I came from,” he said.

Ripperger was in Iloilo recently as part of his world tour in the Philippines. Aside from Iloilo, he also holds acoustic performances in Metro Manila and in Davao.

While in Iloilo, Ripperger sang his composition “I was mesmerized by you!” which drew positive reactions from the audience present.

The Stephen Speaks founder said that currently he is composing ten songs which he is scheduled to release next year.
