Malay, Aklan- The Municipality of Malay, under the leadership of Mayor Frolibar Sacapaño Bautista, through the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Dr. Felix G. Delos Santos Jr., Chief Tourism Operations Officer, proudly garnered 11 prestigious awards during PAGDAYAW 2024. The awarding ceremony was held on December 9, 2024, at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel in Iloilo City.

PAGDAYAW, organized by the Department of Tourism Region VI, is a premier recognition program that celebrates the outstanding contributions of key tourism players, champions, and stakeholders in the region. It serves as a platform to honor excellence in tourism development, promotion, and regulation while highlighting nominees for the Philippine Tourism Awards.

The Municipality of Malay’s remarkable achievement highlights its unparalleled commitment to elevating its tourism sector to even greater heights. The accolades serve as a prominent eveidence to its continued excellence in various critical areas that have significantly advanced tourism in the region.
