Boracay Island- The World Travel Market (WTM) officially opened its doors today, November 5, 2024, at 8:00 AM (GMT) at the International Media Centre, ExCeL London.
This grand opening marks the beginning of one of the worldโs premier travel and tourism exhibitions, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from around the globe to showcase the latest trends, opportunities, and advancements in tourism. The prestigious event promises a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring groundbreaking ideas that will shape the future of travel.
The representatives of the Municipality of Malay, led by our relentlessly active and constantly engaged Local Chief Executive, Hon. Frolibar Sacapaรฑo Bautista with First Lady Maโam Marichu P. Bautista, were joined by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Niรฑo Carlos F. Cawaling and SB Committee Chair on Tourism, Hon. Dalidig Y. Sumndad. Also in attendance were Dr. Felix G. Delos Santos Jr., Chief Tourism Operations Officer of the Municipal Tourism Office, Atty. Melanio Prado Jr., the Municipalityโs Legal Officer, Engr. Al A. Sacapaรฑo, Engineer IV of the Municipal Zoning Office, and Ms. Catherine O. Fulgencio, MGDH I-LDRRMO of MDRRMO Malay. This dedicated team came in full commitment and determination to promote Boracay Island to the United Kingdom at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 in London to network, share ideas, discuss industry trends, and forge new business partnerships.
Delegates from the Province of Aklan, led by our esteemed Governor, Hon. Jose Enrique Miraflores, are in attendance, underscoring the provinceโs strong support and commitment to the event. We are also honored by the presence of Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, the Secretary of the Department of Tourism, whose participation highlights the national governmentโs dedication to promoting and advancing tourism initiatives.
The event will run until November 7, 2024 and we are calling all travel enthusiasts in the UK!
