Kalibo, Aklan | Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Alexys T. Apolonio has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the International Farm Youth Exchange (IFYE) Taiwan in recognition of his outstanding support and contributions to the advancement of youth development and international agricultural exchange programs.

The International Farm Youth Exchange (IFYE) is a global non-profit organization focused on promoting understanding through international rural and agricultural exchange experiences. The program enables young people to live and work in rural areas of host countries, gaining firsthand experience in agricultural practices and cultural exchange.

The prestigious award was presented by Ms. Shu Yuan Fan, IFYE Taiwan delegate to the Philippines, during the OPA Mid-Year Assessment on July 14, 2025 in Kalibo, Aklan highlighting PA Apolonio’s continued dedication to empowering young farmers and fostering international collaboration in agriculture.

The Province of Aklan with the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute and 4-H Club of the Philippines-Aklan has been an active partner of the IFYE initiative, regularly sending and hosting delegates in efforts to enrich rural development and youth engagement through cross-cultural learning.

This recognition not only celebrates individual excellence but also underscores the province’s commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture, youth leadership, and international cooperation. ###DSo
