Sixth AVSEU Boracay Police Commended for a Good Deed
The Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group Director, PBGEN YSMAEL SALONGA YU, acknowledged the heroic act of kindness of Pat Lhar T Talaga, Assistant Police Community Relations PNCO of Caticlan Airport Police Station, Aviation Security Unit 6 for his immediate response to help and assist a woman who gave birth at Afga Tangalan, Aklan.
At about 1:10 AM of January 27, 2022, Mrs. Lucita Panagsagan, the mother of the woman who is close to giving birth went to the residence of Pat Talaga to seek the latter’s help in assisting her pregnant daughter. Pat Talaga wasted no time and immediately proceeded at the residence of Mrs. Panagsagan where after performing Internal Examination (IE) of the patient, he found out that the patient has 9 cm cervical dilation, a sign that the patient is due to deliver her baby.
Due to the condition that there is no time to spare to save the life of the mother and her baby, Pat Talaga conducted spontaneous normal delivery to the woman, Rechel Mae Panagsagan in giving birth to her baby. After the successful delivery, vital signs of the mother and her baby were recorded with a normal remark.
Pat Lhar T Talaga was found to be a registered nurse. As Assistant PCR PNCO, he actively conducts activities aimed at bringing the police closer to the community. He even uses his Savings, Combat Incentive Pay (CIP) and Combat Duty Pay (CDP) in rendering his good deeds to the people who are in need. He believes that “COMPASSION IS THE ULTIMATE EXPRESSION OF ONE’S SELF AND ONE OF THE BEST FEELINGS IN THIS WORLD IS GIVING”.
