𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳𝗖𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗲-𝗶𝗻-𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Golf enthusiasts, industry professionals, and tourism stakeholders can now share experience with the entire golf community in one place at the Philippine Golf Convention 2026 in Pasay City.

The two-day event, featuring a golf pavilion showcasing industry brands, gear, technology, travel, and golf experiences, was hosted by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and South Pacific Events & Marketing Co., starting on Saturday, March 14.

A total of 36 exhibitors from government agencies, golf associations, golf course representatives, travel agencies, tour operators, and both local and international brands and hotels participated in the convention.

The pavilion also featured a booth dedicated to DOT accreditation, providing business owners with key information on obtaining the accreditation for their business ventures. Additionally, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) has briefing on tax and duty incentives for registered business enterprises to boost competitiveness in the golf tourism sector.

Hosted by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and South Pacific Events & Marketing Co., the GolfCon 2026 is expected to boost sports tourism, promote growth in the Philippine golf industry, and position the country as a premier golf destination.

Tourism Undersecretaries Ferdinand Jumapao, Maria Rica Bueno and Myra Paz Valderosa Abubakar, along with other senior DOT officials, GolfCon 2026 Chairman Jesse Guerro, other government executives, and members of the diplomatic corps, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Pasay City, marking the start of a two-day celebration of golf, tourism, and business collaborations.

Beyond the greens, GolfCon 2026 is expected to benefit various sectors, including hospitality, transportation, tourism, and the local creative industry, with over 2,000 delegates anticipated to attend over the weekend.
