Aklanon MSME Wins 2nd Top Seller Award during National Exporters’ Fair 2026 Closing Ceremony

Mandaluyong City- Elizabeth Rasonable Piña Weaving from Banga, Aklan, placed as the 2nd Top Seller Awardee for the Non-Food Category, during the recently-concluded DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Exporters’ Fair 2026 held on July 22-26, 2026, at the Megatrade Halls 1-3, Level 5, Mega B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. They stood out among the more than 200 exhibitors coming from the different
provinces and regions in the country.

The Aklanon-based local enterprise owned by Ms. Elizabeth Rasonable, the enterprise started as a small family business. Throughout the years, they have continuously strived in their craft and innovated Red Spanish pineapple into world-class piña-based products ranging from piña cloth, dresses, barongs and even fashion accessories.

During the five-day fair, they received overwhelmingly positive feedback from buyers and visitors.

As a result, they achieved the second-highest total sales, combining both cash and booked transactions, with purchases coming from local businesses as well as international buyers. This strong market response reflects the exceptional quality of their products and highlights their export readiness to international markets.

Other MSMEs featured were La Herminia Fibers and Looms, Silver Handicrafts, Raquel’s Piña Cloth Products, Reycons Piña Cloth, Faith Native Products and Sunshine’s Breadmart, who have showcased the best of Aklanon products in the national trade fair scene.

“Elizabeth Rasonable’s win, is not only a win for their enterprise but a big win for the piña weaving industry in the province of Aklan. Time and time again, we have proven that this timeless tradition continue to bring us with a sense of pride,” says DTI-Aklan OIC-Provincial Director Grace M. Benedicto.
