Abalos to BBM Supporters: Let us realize the election promises

KALIBO, Aklan- Incoming Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. urged President Bongbong Marcos’ (BBM) supporters to continue helping the administration on its quest to realize campaign promises.

Abalos was here Sunday to participate in the victory party of the provincial BBM supporters in the province. BBM won by 39 votes margin against Vice President Leni Robredo during the 2022 Presidential and local elections in Aklan.

According to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), BBM got 146, 323 against Robredo’s 146, 284 in the province. President BBM recently named Abalos to head the DILG once he was seated in the Malacanang on July 1.

“As a national campaign manager of BBM, I wished to thank everyone for supporting BBM during the recent elections. More than even, we still need your help in realizing the campaign promises of the next administration,” he said.

While in Aklan, Abalos together with businessman Mel Robles meet with local officials at the Kalibo Pastrana Park. Prior to the program, Abalos joined the crowd in street revelry for the ceremonial tradition of the Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival. “

Among the promises of BBM is to make the Philippines greater than before,” he said.
