Aid for farmers hit by TD Agaton now ready

KALIBO, Aklan Financial aid for farmers affected by tropical depression Agaton in the entire province of Aklan is already prepared.
According to the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist(OPA)- Aklan, they will be distributing farm input or rice seedlings to affected farmers to jumpstart the recovery of their livelihood.
In a report by Marivic Y.  Ilin  of Brigada News Kalibo, only five 5 towns have submitted damage reports particularly Altavas, Balete, Kalibo, Ibajay and Tangalan.
Other municipalities will also be given ample time to pass their respective records in order for their farmers to be included in the list of beneficiaries; it is confirmed that the agricultural products from the towns of Altavas and Balete were the most affected by tropical depression Agaton.
As a whole, an estimated six hectare of farmland were affected by immense flooding in the entire province of Aklan
