Aklanon swimmer helps WV region earn gold in Palarong Pambansa

KALIBO, Aklan- Aklanon multi medal achieverNuche Veronica V. Ibit has helped her fellow swimmers under the Western Visayas team win gold in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2023.

Aside from Ibit, other swimming members under the Swimming Team were Napalata of Iloilo (first diver); second diver was Ibit; followed by Dejilla of Bacolod as third diver and 5th diver Cabayara of Bacolod.

The team won the 4×50 meter freestyle swimming event held at Marikina City.

In the said category, the region IV-A bags the silver medal and the National Capital Region Bronze.

As of this writing, the WVRAA team leads second in the hauls of medals in the Palarong Pambansa. The region grabbed 20 golds, 15 silver, and 11 bronze.

The region was outnumbered by the leading Region IV-A the Southern Tagalog Cordillera Administrative Region having 20 golds, 22 silver and 16 bronze medals.
