Jordan, Guimaras – Small and medium-scale owners in Guimaras no longer have to travel across the water to file their environmental requirements. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is bringing its services directly to the island through the DENR Permitting on Wheels (DENR POW).

In Region 6, the DENR POW will be rolled out in Guimaras Island on April 14-15, 2026. The activity will streamline the application process by having technical experts from the DENR and its line bureaus – the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) – man the kiosks/booths set up as a one-stop shop at the Provincial Capitol grounds in the municipality of Jordan.

The mobile service will assist local entrepreneurs and project managers with various regulatory requirements, including:

  • Environmental Compliance: Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC) applications, and Self-Monitoring Report (SMR)/Compliance Monitoring Report (CMR) assistance.
  • Pollution Control: Permit to Operate, Discharge Permits, Hazardous Waste Generator ID Registration, and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Accreditation.
  • Land & Forestry: Land survey and titling, lease and appraisal/re-appraisal of foreshore, tenurial instruments, permit to transport of non-timber forest products and wildlife (flora and fauna).
  • Geosciences: Geohazard Investigation Reports (GIR).

The DENR POW will be open to the public from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on April 14-15, 2026. By bringing the services directly to the community, the initiative aims to promote the ease of doing business while ensuring that local projects remain compliant with environmental laws./DENR 6
