DSWD Aklan Conducts House-to-House Campaign to Bring 4Ps Children Back in School

AKLAN โ The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Aklan Provincial Operations Office (POO) has launched a house-to-house campaign to encourage children under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who are not currently attending school to return to their studies.
Dubbed the Balik Eskwela Campaign, the initiative provides targeted case management interventions by assessing the childrenโs current circumstances, understanding their family backgrounds, and identifying the barriers preventing them from continuing their education.
Social Welfare Officers III Charlene Camille M. Pastor and Hannah Faith A. Sejera led the participating Technical Working Group (TWG) in assessing the needs and circumstances of the children and facilitating immediate and appropriate interventions and support.
The initial phase of the campaign covered the municipalities of Altavas, Batan, Madalag, New Washington, and Numancia.
While the number of 4Ps children classified as not attending school remains manageable in Aklan, the DSWD said it is taking a proactive approach to address their situation and help them resume their education.
The Case Management Team plans to expand the Balik Eskwela Campaign to all 17 municipalities of Aklan.
The initiative underscores the DSWDโs commitment to ensuring that children under the 4Ps program receive appropriate assistance and opportunities to continue their education.
