DTI Capiz Boosts Local MSME Partnerships with Hospitality Sector Through Capiz BizKonek Market Matching

Boracay Island- On November 27, 2025, DTI Capiz successfully facilitated stronger ties between local MSMEs and the hospitality industry during the Capiz Bizkonek Market Matching cum Business Continuity Plan/Toolkit Orientation held at AM Aura Condotel, Lawaan, Roxas City.

Fourteen local MSMEs showcased their products and services to 11 buyers representing the Association of Resorts, Restaurants, and Hotels of Capiz. The event also featured support from DTI Capizโ€™s Business Name and BMBE services, Small Business Corporation, and GCash.

DTI Capiz OIC-Provincial Director, Merian A. Asas emphasized the value of supporting local products to empower Capizโ€™s circular economy. Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer, Alphonsus Tesoro highlighted the vital link between culture and business collaboration.
The introduction of the activity rationale and participants was facilitated by IDD Head Honey Mae F. Osimco, who led the market matching session that enabled open discussions and negotiations between buyers and suppliers.
In the afternoon, participants received an orientation on Business Continuity Planning (BCP), equipping them with practical toolkits for disaster preparedness, resulting in 18 BCP toolkits created, 6 MSMEs onboarded with GCash, and 2 new Small Business Corporation loan applications.
DTI Capiz continues to nurture sustainable partnerships and foster growth for Capiz MSMEs within the local tourism sector.
