“First Page of 2025”

I saved my mother’s words to share and reflect for New Year. She is an amazing woman in our lives. Hindi man kami ganon ka-close, pero most of my conditioning came from her.
She said, “Bilang babae, dapat matuto at maging responsable kang kumita ng sarili mong pera. Huwag kang aasa sa kinikita ng isang lalaki.”
Nasabi niya ito during my teen-age years when were in misery due to family constraints. When I live my own life, slowly I understand why she spoke those words.
It helped me overcome my struggles and began a new life when one context of it was torn in pieces.
It is not about the ego or arrogance of what we can do as a woman.
It is about being responsible and making a dream your reality. A woman may love to have a man beside her for support like physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial but not necessarily negatively dependent on a man.
Nakakaproud na kaya mong maging responsableng babae which is reward para sa atin kapag may kasamang umaabot sa pangarap.
There are men and women that were structured and shaped as responsible for their own life.
Cheers to all of us na enlightened mammals on this Earth!
