
Caticlan, Malay Aklan- Reassuring the riding public that their personal valuables are securely safeguarded, Security Screening Officers (SSOs) of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) demonstrated honesty and integrity by returning a gold bracelet inadvertently left behind by a passenger bound for Clark via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 914 at Caticlan Airport on June 13, 2026.
While performing routine duties, SSO Maika Raya noticed a gold bracelet left behind inside a service tray at the output roller of the X-ray machine and immediately reported the item to Checkpoint Supervisor Jane Rario, who promptly requested a public announcement through the airport paging system in an effort to locate the owner.
Minutes later, the passenger returned to the checkpoint to ask for assistance in locating her lost bracelet. Following the ownership verification process, the valuable item was returned to its rightful owner.
The passenger expressed her deep gratitude to the entire OTS team for their honesty and swift assistance in recovering her lost jewelry.
