Message of Gratitude to the Aklan Police Office

It was both a privilege and a homecoming to be invited by the Aklan Police Provincial Office as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Closing Ceremonies of their Sportfest and Fiesta sa Kampo 2026 Fun Shoot. More than an engagement, it was my first official visit to Aklan PPO since 2009โ€”a moment that brought back countless memories and deep gratitude.
I was blessed to serve the Aklan PPO for more than four years (2005โ€“2009), first as Chief of Police of the Kalibo Municipal Police Station/DPDO and later as Chief of the Boracay Special Tourist Police Office. Those years were among the most meaningful of my career, shaping not only the police officer I became but, more importantly, the person I am today.
It was in Boracay where I faced some of the toughest challenges of my life in uniform. Yet, those very challenges became the foundation of my character. They taught me resilience, strengthened my faith, and inspired me to pursue excellence, integrity, and professionalism in every step of my journey.
Aklan is more than just a place where I once servedโ€”it is the province where I was raised, where my values were formed, and where my dreams first took shape. No matter where my career takes me, I will always carry with me the pride, humility, and spirit of being an Akeanon.
To the men and women of the Aklan PPO, thank you for your warm welcome and your unwavering commitment to serving our people. Continue to serve with compassion, and wear the badge with honor.
