NABAS, Aklan- Nabas mayor-elect James Solanoy said he plans to talk to San Miguel Corporation President Ramon Ang to discuss with him the revival of the pending water theme park here.
Solanoy said that Ang told him three years ago, before he ended his nine-year term as mayor, about the plans to put up a multi-million peso theme park project here. The said plan was put on hold as he became the vice mayor of this town from 2022-2025.
Currently, the town of Nabas serves as an arrival area of the Caticlan Airport from the adjacent Malay, Aklan.
“I had direct communication with Ang. I had learned so much from him in business that is relevant to public service. Whenever a problem presents itself, I must immediately think of a solution to it within seconds,” he said, adding that he will discuss this with Ang by July 1 as he assumes the post of Mayor.
He added that when the theme park is constructed, it will help provide a livelihood to many of his residents and alleviate poverty.
The town of Nabas last year jumped to a second-class municipality from a fourth-class municipality. This is because of the town’s aggressive mode of attracting invsstors.
