Kalibo, Aklan- More than 40,000 recipients of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the Province of Aklan are currently undergoing field validation by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan Provincial Office to ensure the accuracy and correctness of their demographic information, as well as their inclusion in the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) database.

The activity is being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Provincial Operations Office and the concerned Local Government Units in the province through the directive of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DepDEV).

This nationwide undertaking aims to generate a complete, updated, and comprehensive list of social protection program beneficiaries and harmonize their information across relevant government databases such as the National ID and DSWD’s Basta Beripikado, Mabilis (BBM) ang Serbisyo, a platform used to confirm the identity of beneficiaries and prevent fraud.

It also seeks to include in the database newly identified beneficiaries who were not enumerated during the CBMS data collection.

The updated CBMS data will serve as a vital reference for the DSWD in validating beneficiary information and ensuring the efficient delivery of cash grants and other social protection benefits.

Likewise, the data will support the DepDEV in evaluating and utilizing CBMS information to identify potential beneficiaries and further strengthen the implementation of social protection programs nationwide.

“We would like to appeal to all beneficiaries in Aklan to cooperate with the validation activity by being present on the scheduled date so that we can complete the process within the prescribed timeline,” Chief Statistical Specialist Antonet Catubuan said.

These validation activities are being conducted during clustered Family Development Sessions (FDS) in various barangays across the province, facilitated by the respective Municipal and LGU Links in coordination with PSA personnel.
