
Boracay Island- The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Boracay proudly shares that President Djila Winebrenner attended the Regional Agri-Aqua Trade Fair ASPiRE as part of the Province of Aklan’s 70th Anniversary celebration, with the theme “Pagpadayon it aton Panublion: 70 Years of Aklanon Heritage, Pride and Progress.” The event gathered key leaders, partners, and stakeholders in a meaningful celebration of local enterprise and collaboration.
The Chamber acknowledges the presence and strong support of distinguished officials who delivered messages during the program, including Governor Jose Enrique M. Miraflores, who reaffirmed the Province’s commitment to strengthening local industries and empowering Aklanon producers. Representing the Municipality of Malay, Executive Assistant Niel Flores delivered the message on behalf of Mayor Frolibar S. Bautista, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the local government and the business sector. Also present was Regional Director Dennis Arpia of the Department of Agriculture Region VI, who highlighted the role of agricultural development in driving inclusive economic growth across the region.
A key highlight of the event was the ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing for the Partnership on Marketing and Market Engagement among the Province of Aklan, DA-RFO VI, PCCI, and KOICA-PMC. This partnership reinforces a shared vision of strengthening local supply chains, supporting agribusiness, and creating sustainable opportunities that benefit both producers and businesses.
The trade fair showcased a diverse range of locally sourced products and suppliers, offering accessible opportunities for Boracay-based enterprises to connect directly with producers across Aklan. This initiative underscores the importance of strengthening linkages between the island and the province, supporting local sourcing, sustainability, and long-term economic resilience.
