PSA RSSO VI and Aklan PHO Discuss National ID Integration to Support Health Sector Digitalization

Ibajay, Aklan- On June 8, the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI
(PSA RSSO VI) met with the Aklan Provincial Health Office (PHO) to discuss the potential integration of National ID Authentication Services in support of ongoing efforts to strengthen digital information systems and data interoperability within the province’s health sector.

During the meeting, CSS Antonet Catubuan provided updates on National ID registration activities in Aklan, highlighting continuing field operations and initiatives to expand registration coverage, particularly in LGU Ibajay.

Registration Officer IIIย  Jared Barile then presented the National ID Authentication Services, outlining its potential applications in supporting secure identity verification, improving data quality, and enhancing the efficiency of digital service delivery across health information systems.

Representatives from the Provincial Health Office, including Dr. Leslie Sedillo, PHO II, and LGU Ibajay Medical Officer IV Dr. Daxstar Sedillo, welcomed the presentation and expressed support for exploring the adoption of National ID-enabled authentication solutions as part of the province’s broader digital transformation efforts. The discussion also covered available verification platforms, onboarding
requirements, and potential use cases that could contribute to more reliable, interoperable, and efficient health information systems.

The engagement concluded with both PSA RSSO VI and the Aklan Provincial Health Office reaffirming their commitment to collaboration in advancing digital initiatives that promote secure data exchange, improved service delivery, and strengthened information management within the health sector.
