Seven more rescue trikes distributed in New Washington Town, Aklan

NEW WASHINGTON, Aklan- At least seven more rescue e-trikes were distributed Friday night to several barangays of this town.

New Washington mayoralty candidate Jessica Panambo said the rescue trikes were distributed in time for her 49th birthday celebration held at the cafeteria of the ASU-New Washington campus.

Last month, Panambo also distributed three e-trikes to different barangays. “The rescue trikes were donated by my husbands and siblings for the different barangays of New Washington.

” We will distribute another six more rescue trikes soon to complete the New Washington barangays with their rescue trikes,” she said. The rescue trikes worth around P250,000 each could be used as transporters of New Washington residents, especially during emergencies. “The e-trikes are gifts for me, and I would like to share those with all of our barangays,” Panambo added.

Meanwhile, the birthday bash of Panambo was considered a show of force for her mayoralty race this coming May 2022. Among those who expressed their support to Panambo were former town mayor Atty. Edgar Peralta and former Vice Mayor Jean Velarde. Panambo served as a Councilor of New Washington in previous years.
