
KALIBO, Aklan- The Sustainable Livelihood Program in Aklan participated at the concluded “Hinuguran it Akeanon,” a trade fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in celebration of the 68th Aklan Day.
SLP participants displayed food and non-food products at the Aklan Trade Hall, Capitol Grounds, Kalibo, Aklan, on April 17–27, 2024.
In the 10-day event, the participants generated a collective sales of more than Php 15,000.
This is a significant breakthrough for the SLP participants, showcasing their hard work and dedication to growing their livelihood opportunities.
The program participants had the opportunity to showcase and promote their products to both potential institutional buyers and local consumers during the event.
The trade fair also provided them with valuable exposure and experience in marketing their products to a wider audience.
The term “Hinuguran” means hard work, and “Akeanon” refers to the people.
