Star Navigator are welcome in Boracay Island

Boracay Island- The Star Navigator, a Taiwanese Cruise Ship, was welcomed on Wednesday by the Department of Tourism, the Philippine Ports Authority, and the local government of Aklan.

Niven Maquirang, Port Ship Operation and Special Project in-chargeย  told the Boracay Island News Network that the Taiwanese Cruise Ship was carrying some 1,300 foreign tourists, most of whom were Taiwanese.

In a separate interview, the Star Navigator Captain Christian Aalbers stated that their tourists have been drawn to the tropical vibe of Boracay, along with various sea sports activities, including snorkeling and windsurfing.

The welcoming delegation was headed by Maquirang, Atty Mark Caprizo, Denise Sevilla, Catherine Ong Fulgencio, Serafin Javellana of Southwest Tours, Dindo Salazar of the Boracay Foundation Incorporatedย  (BFI),Mike Labatiao,safety-consultant , and Ms Ann Zhang.

Aalbers was also accompanied by Chief Engineer Anders Petterson, Staff Captain Nosse Nordman and Simbas Hisole.

“We will definitely be coming back to Boracay,” said Aalbers.

The Star Navigator stayed for almost eight hours in Boracay. They have also visitedย  Palawan and Curimao Island in Ilocos province.
