
On June 05, 2025, expelled Congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr. who is facing multiple criminal charges attended his arraignment before the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 12, Manila.
Acting on the directive of NBI Director Judge Jaime B. Santiago (Ret.), a joint team composed of NBI-Cyber Crime Division (CCD), NBI-Special Task Force (STF) and NBI-Security Management Division (SMD) escorted Teves from the NBI Detention Facility in Building 14, New Bilibid Prison, Muntinlupa City to RTC Branch 12 of Manila. This is in compliance with the court order requiring to produce the living body of Teves for his arraignment yesterday at 8:30 a.m. During the arraignment, Teves assisted by a counsel, invoked his right to remain silent. The Presiding Judge entered a not guilty plea on behalf of accused Teves with regard to the charges of illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
Teves remains in the custody at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) detention facility within the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
