In Star Wars movies, Luke Skywalker never wears a mask, si Darth o Dark Vader lang.
Yung all out black costume ba. Siya yun, di ba? Yung pag nagalit, no control?
In Superman movies, he wears a mask. Ang gwapo, eh. Bawal makita, baka maagaw pa.
Tapos ang mga nemesis niya, ang kapal ng skin. Taas ulo hanggang paa, kitang-kita ang bad intention.
These movies both portray that a mask is to hide an identity. Which is yun naman talaga ang pinaniniwalaan natin di ba?
Itago ang dapat itago, ilabas ang dapat ilabas.
But… why Luke Skywalker never wears a mask while Superman did?
Why Darth Vader wears a mask while Superman’s nemesis do not?
Have you noticed the entire sequel of Star Wars movies, they need to master their feelings, emotions, and self first before they could achieve the highest power to use the light saber?
Those who can’t master themselves, become villains, puppets of Emperor, si Palpatine o si Constantine?
What about Superman, Batman, Captain Barbell, este, America pala?
How do they acquire their power? By accident? Na discover then na utilize? Pero ano ang common sa characters na ito? The painful experiences and manipulation of emotions because of losing their dear loved ones.
That is their weakness and same time strength. They need the mask to hide the mirror of their soul, the eyes. Or else the enemies will defeat them.
Until they could use the pain as superpowers to protect other beings. Kagaya ni Skywalker.
Who would you like to be when acquiring such power in life?
“Great power comes great responsibility.”
Or will you be Luke Skywalker?
“May the Force be with you.”
Whatever you like, isa lang ang common sa kanila. In all adversities they survive, and become a master of themselves but serve the well being of other.
Peace and love.
