The former seminarians of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, known by the moniker FORSOAR, with some OAR priests, gathered at La Carmela de Boracay in Boracay Island on November 22-24, 2024 for their first national convention.
Donning the bold letters in their objectives were fostering the spirit brotherhood-camaraderie, laying down steps to strengthen and sustain the organization, and keeping and sharing the OAR spirituality.
In attendance were nearly 100 FORSOARians from the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. FORSOAR Panay and Guimaras Chapter headed by Judge Nelson Bartolome served as generous host of the event.
FORSOAR national president Richard Pomar Burgos, former director.of DOST’s Science and Technology Information Institute, congratulated the officers and brother-members of the host chapter for facilitating the convention.
Kudos from the delegates poured in about the Boracay weekender.
Brother EdLop, the music man, enthused that he left “a little bit poorer but richer in everything”.
“Amazing brothers,” posted Brother Tony.
“It was a wonderful convention,” chatted a brother from Mindanao.
Wonder brother of the nights was Carlits the Maldits from the breezy and verdant shores of Pandan.
And also head-turner was Brother Kenneth. Secretariat on the go.
In thanksgiving, several persons and institutions were acknowledged for their support.
Wanted to mention the names of all those who showed up at the island but can only yell out a lone word of praise: Singletone!
It was the word made superbly liquid.
