Another Kalibonhon to serve PBBM cabinet

KALIBO, Aklan- Another Kalibonhon albeit by choice has been nominated by President Bongbong Marcos Jr to head his cabinet. Marcos has nominated Robles to head the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

Robles has owned several properties in Kalibo. In the 2018 elections, Robles financially supported former Kalibo Mayor Engr. Emerson Lachica.

“I am thankful for your support for me during the 2018 elections,” Lachica told Robles during their engagement recently here in Kalibo.

Robles was widely known to have headed the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) under the administration of former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who is a member of the ruling political coalition which supported Marcos.

Earlier, President Marcos Jr. also appointed Kalibonhon by blood Christopher Pastrana to serve as General Manager of the Philippine Ports Authority. Pastrana is the current chairman of the Archipelago Philippines Ferries Corporation (APFC).

“I trace our origins at the famous Pastrana Park in Kalibo,” Pastrana once told the Boracay Island News Network (BINN).

Pastrana replaced by Jay Daniel Santiago, who has been PPA chief since 2016. He will start his office at the PPA beginning July 1 this year.
