‘Big three’ retains the Ati-atihan crown this year

KALIBO, Aklan- The three winners last year for the Tribal Big Category for the Kalibo Sr. Sto. Nino Ati-atihan Festivalย  have retained their respective victories this year.
The Tribu Linabuanon bags the P1.1 million grand prize, followed by the Black Beauty Boys who garnered P400,000, while Vikings went home with P170,000.
Other winners include Tribu Alibangbang and Libtong Boys. Pangawasan Tribe and Maharlika.
According to Kalibo Mayor Juris Bautista-Sucro, the Tribu Linabuanon also bags home special awards such asย Best in Costume, Best in Beats and Sounds, Best in Street Dancing, and Best in Headdress. Each special award has a prize of P5,000.
The Tribu Alibangbang also gathers special award for most disciplined group.
For the modern tribal category, the first place went to the Atras Abante; Aeang-aeang gets the second place; La Promesa for the third place; fourth place goes to Nosi Balasi; Golden Kaipan for the fifth place; sixth place for Bluebirds; and Tribu Maninikop for seventh place.
Apo ni Inday bags the first place for the Tradisyonal nga Ati category; followed by Selimono Tribe and Tribu Naisud comes third place. Fourth place goes to Sinikway nga Ati; Tribu Datu Puti goes fifth; Malipayong Ati ranks sixth; and Tribu Maninikop seventh place.
For the tribal small category, first place goes to Tribu Tampogaling; seconf place went to Kabog; third place went to Tribu Ninolitos; fourth place to Tribu Responde; fifth place went to Tribu Iwa Iwa; sixth place to D’ Kamangahan and Lezo Tribe at the seventh place.
