Bizman to pursue DQ case against Yapak exec
Boracay Island- A businessman based in Metro Manila is preparing the necessary documents to pursue the disqualification case he filed against the incumbent Yapak Barangay Captain Hector Casidsid.
Businessman Crisostomo Aquino, in his Facebook post, said that this developed after the COMELEC en banc released a decision dated December 11, 2024. He received the document on January 3, 2025.
The COMELEC En Banc decision approved the Motion for Reconsideration filed by Aquino in the COMELEC. The COMELEC earlier denied his petition.
The document states that the COMELEC Second Division dated October 13. 2023 dismissed the verified petition filed by Aquino.
Aquino said that he filed a disqualification case against Casidsid because he is already in his fourth consecutive term as the barangay captain of the said barangay.
In earlier interviews, Casidsid said that he is ready to face the charges filed by Aquino against him.
Casidsid is currently running for the mayoralty post against the incumbent mayor Frolibar Bautista.
