It is another way of saying, “Stay in a place where you can figure yourself out without losing your mind.”
I got this special encounter with a successful businessman. I once asked if he is okay. He said in a blabbering voice, “Yes, I am strong.”
Looking at him from my point of view, “No, he is not.” He has oxygen tanks. He has injections. He can’t walk. He can’t speak properly. He can’t move without the help of caregivers. He was on a wheelchair. In short, in my eyes he is weak. I and his kids are worried about his condition.
He proved to us that we were all wrong for thinking he is weak. I guess what he is exactly meant when he said ‘I am strong” is ‘He has a strong and clear mind.’
From then on, I don’t look at him with pity. I look at him with respect. I even dare to tell him, “You should drink more water.”
He said, “That’s good advice.”
I answered back, “It will only be good if you do.”
