BORACAY Island- The Korean Residents Organization in Malay, Aklan (KROB) is inviting Boracaynons to avail of their free dental mission and gift-giving event for the children of this resort island.

Soojin Kim, the president of the KROB, told the Boracay Island News Network that the event will be held on February 29โ€“March 1 at the Manocmanoc Plaza.

The said dental mission is in coordination with the Lion’s Club of Korea and the Korean Community in Boracay. The beneficiaries of the gift giving were students from the schools of Manocmanoc, Balabag, and Yapak. The dental mission will start at 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“The dental mission will be joined by eight South Korean dentists and 50 dedicated volunteers to enhance healthcare access and quality in underserved communities,” Kim said.

“The primary objective of this mission is to provide free dental care and education to the local community, focusing on preventive care and the treatment of common dental ailments. Our team is equipped to offer services including dental check-ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and patient education on oral hygiene. This initiative is especially important considering the limited access to dental care in many parts of the island,” she added.
