
BORACAY Island – Prime Bakery of Bread and Butter Bakeshop has officially opened on this resort island, hoping to get its market share here.
John Guidon Macciri dela Cruz, president of Filbake the mother company of Bread and Butter Bakeshop said that this is the second branch of Prime Bakery. This is also the 125th store Bread and Butter; most of them are under franchise agreements.
The first, Prime Bakery was established in Kalibo several years ago.
“During the launch, we also introduced another Prime product, which is Doughnuts and is available in different flavors,” he said.

Among the Prime Doughnut flavors are classic glazed, ube, dark chocolate, and strawberry doughnuts, among others.

The Prime Bakery is located along the highway in Barangay Balabag, Boracay, fronting the Ciriaco S. Tirol Hospital.
Atty. Euridice Cudiamat, President of Prime Bread & Butter Corp also graced the branch opening.
Dela Cruz, in his speech, thanked all those who patronized Bread and Butter Products for several years.
“We are thankful for Boracay as a prime tourism destination. We hope tourists and residents will patronize our products,” he said.
In 1985, the Bread and Butter Bakeshop started using a second hand oven to bake mostly pandesal and Spanish bread.
From there, the Dela Cruz family has started introducing new stores in Kalibo to cater to the growing numbers of patrons. In 2003, it started introducing franchises.
In 2017, it has already gathered numerous national awards, which include the Franchise Excellence Awards for Outstanding Filipino Franchise Food Medium Sized category given by the Philippine Franchise Association and the Department of Trade and Industry.
The same awards were also achieved by the 7-11 stores several years ago.
