Romualdez Legal Team Urges Facts Over Speculation Amid Reports of Potential Complaint .

The legal team of Leyte Representative Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez recently addressed swirling news reports concerning a supposed complaint being prepared against the lawmaker. Atty. Ade Fajardo, acting as spokesperson, clarified that current headlines are jumping the gun since there is no actual filed case, no finding of probable cause, and zero determination of liability at this stage.

Atty. Fajardo emphasized that the Representative has not been linked by any evidence to alleged ghost or substandard flood control projects. The legal team remains steadfast in its position that justice should be driven by hard facts rather than political theater or rumors.

The spokesperson expressed full respect for the Office of the Ombudsman’s procedures and pledged total cooperation should any formal proceedings ever begin. He also noted a high standard for such actions, citing a principle previously championed by the Ombudsman himself: that prosecutors should only move forward with cases where there is a reasonable certainty of conviction. Ultimately, the Romualdez camp expects a resolution based strictly on due process and clear evidence.
