Led by certified FBSE trainer Ms. Sofia Celeste Sarino, the training emphasized the integration of Filipino core values—maka-Diyos, makatao, makakalikasan, and makabansa—in everyday service delivery. Participants engaged in lectures, interactive exercises, and role-playing activities designed to equip them with practical tools for delivering service that is not only excellent but also sincerely and distinctively Filipino.

In her message, DOT VI Regional Director Crisanta Marlene P. Rodriguez underscored the greater purpose of the training. “This training is not just about improving skills—it’s about creating memorable experiences that reflect the warmth, hospitality, and genuine care that Filipinos are known for,” RD Rodriguez shared. “By empowering our tourism frontliners in Antique, we strengthen the province’s competitiveness and reinforce its appeal as a key destination in Western Visayas.”

The FBSE program is a flagship initiative of the Department of Tourism aimed at institutionalizing a culture of service excellence nationwide. It supports the national tourism agenda by enhancing customer service standards, contributing to the industry’s post-pandemic recovery, and promoting long-term sustainability.

The successful implementation of the FBSE training in Antique reaffirms the DOT’s commitment to inclusive tourism development and grassroots capacity-building across all levels of the tourism value chain in the region.
