It’s official, Western Visayas is Bird Flu free
Iloilo City- Blood testing is officially waived until July 15, 2025!
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 13, Series of 2025 “Waiving of Testing for Avian Influenza”, which allows the uninterrupted local movement of live poultry, other bird species, eggs, and poultry products excluding live ducks from Region 6 without the need for blood testing until July 15, 2025.
This declaration is a testament to the region’s strong biosecurity practices, vigilant monitoring, and proactive collaboration among stakeholders. It paves the way for faster trade, reduced logistical burdens, and greater confidence in the health and safety of Western Visayas’ poultry sector.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Local Government Units (LGUs), poultry raisers, industry partners, and frontline personnel for their unwavering support and commitment to keeping our region bird flu-free.
