Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-atihan Announces Art Competition Winners

KALIBO, Aklan – Over fifty Aklanon young artist participants form various public and private elementary and high schools in the province of Aklan have competed in the 5th Young Artist Art competition organized by the Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-atihan held last February 11, 2023 at Ati-atihan Festival Hotel in Kalibo, Aklan.

The participants were given three hours to prepare their artwork on-the-spot which started exactly 9:06 A.M.

With the theme “The Beauty of Aklan”, participants have showcased their artwork with relevance to beautiful places and iconic landmarks, natural wealth and resources, and cultural history of the province of Aklan.

Arch. Jesha Marie Demate, Mr. John Paul Mirto, Past Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis International Phil. South Distirict Division 2C, and Mr. John Mikhail Oliver Dela Cruz, Past President of Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-atihan were the Board of Judges.

Here are the winners in the elementary category 1st Place – Raine Sydelle J, Guevara of Kalibo Pilot Elementary School, 2nd Place – Ellaine Mae T. Meren of Kalibo Pilot Elementary School, 3rd Place – Eunabelle I. Rondario of Aklan Inter Faith Academy; The consolation prize winners in random order are 1) Da Vinci R. Alfaro of Kalibo Pilot Elementary School 2) Guila Elaine B. Dugang of Aklan Inter Faith Academy 3) Trizh Angel Lee D. Antonino of Kalibo Pilot Elementary School 4) Xialeigh Dawn R. Mateling and 5) Marrian Rhey T. Manipud of Northwestern Visayan Colleges.

Here are the winners in the high school category 1st Place – Jedaiah Kish U. De Pedro of Aklan National High School for Arts & Trades, 2nd Place – Michael James V. Retulin of Infant Jesus School, 3rd Place – Pouliah Nikolai T. Coching of Aklan Catholic College. The consolation prize winners in random order are 1) Marc Lourence L. Andrade of Regional Science High School VI 2) Frances Nicole A. Jimlan of St.anne Montessori School 3) Renz Kemuel D. Eulogio of Wadeford School 4) Princes Ryza S. Adonay of Kalibo Integraded Special Education Center and 5) Danjo Arreta of Infant Jesus Academy.

Consolation prize winners have received cash prize while major winners have won cash prize plus gift certificate from corporate sponsors. Certificate of Award were also given to all winners while all participants were awarded with a certificate of participation and took home an event’s t-shirt.

Ms. Lyneth Mendoza, Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis International Phil. South District Div. 2C graced the opening program with her inspirational message to all the participants, teachers, parents and guests.

The Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-atihan through the club president Ms. Sinderlyn Openiano congratulated all the young artists participants and the winners, and also expressed her gratitude to all the parents, schools and sponsors for their participation and continued support in making the event successful for five consecutive years.
